Yes, the Bloomsday Equinox is fast upon us. December 16 marks the day in the slowly rolling cycle of our sun when we reach the still point between annual celebrations of James Joyce’s Ulysses on Bloomsday (16 June). What are you planning or imagining for Bloomsday 2013? An early morning visit to Joyce’s Martello Tower (pictured) at Sandycove? A raucous recreation of Nighttown in your very own town?

Whatever you are thinking or hoping, drop us a line this week and we’ll post the accumulated musings right here. Write to Steve Cole at [email protected]. It’s never too early to start dreaming!

  1. Hi Steve,
Here in Santa Maria - RS (Brasil) we intend to celebrate Bloomsday 2013 with joy, lots of reading and lots of beer. James Joyce rules forever!
    Best regards,
    Aguinaldo
