How often do we take pictures with a smartphone
The camera in a smartphone is already an integral part of it. Every day we take pictures and share them on social media, upload photos from wherever we happen to be, not to mention the selfie, which has become our daily routine. Who uses a smartphone's camera and how often – explored in Mobience survey.
Taking pictures and using galleries is the domain of women – on average, they use the camera for 5 minutes and 27 seconds per week, while men only use it for 3 minutes and 6 seconds. We spend even more time per week looking at photos 9 minutes and 18 seconds, as with the camera, it is women who spend more time looking at photos – 11 minutes and 26 seconds, and men – 7 minutes and 16 seconds.
– Following the principle that the best camera is the one you have with you, more than half of smartphone users actively use this functionality. The data we obtain about mobile users through the Mobience research application allows us to learn about the behavior and use of apps or smartphone functionality. The juxtaposition of various applications with conveniences like an alarm clock, – which is used by 59% of smartphone owners and the camera (58%) shows that the smartphone is replacing many other devices used so far, says Artur Zawadzki, Business Development Director at Spicy Mobile.
On average, we use the camera 1 to 3 days a week, longer on weekdays than on weekends, and most often take pictures between 12:00 and 8:00 pm.
We like to share the photos we take with friends. Which apps we use most often? WhatsApp, Kik, Skype, SnapChat, Facebook Messenger, Twitter – this is the ranking of the most popular applications according to Techradar service.com.
